Jack Larmoyeux

Jack Larmoyeux died peacefully at home on Friday, October 31st 2008, three weeks after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Jack was born in South Charleston, West Virginia on December 24th, 1924.

After South Pacific service in WWII as an Air Force pilot, Jack received BS in Forestry at WVU

and a MS in Fisheries Biology at U of Michigan.

Jack's environmental career included five years in the WV Fish and Game Dept. followed by

twenty-seven years in the Federal Fish and Wildlife Service.

Jack touched so many lives with his interest in the arts, outdoors and public service.

His passionate caring led him to volunteer for many environmental organizations, the Alternative Youth Court,

Zoo Montana, Billings Chamber of Commerce and the First Congregational UCC. Most recently,

Jack was honored by the Red Cross as the Volunteer Hero of the Year for his work with the Rocky Mountain Hospice.

Jack is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 58 years, Pat McAtee Larmoyeux

and daughters Lauren Armstrong (Erick) of Spokane, WA and Deb Bell (Randy) of Couer d' Alene, ID.

He will be missed by his grandchildren, Sean and Rhiannon Armstrong and Sam and Max Bell.
