Duane Batista
Duane served as a captain in the US Air Force. He was stationed at Evreux Air Base, France
with the 317th under the 322d Air Division, where he served
as a navigator on C-130A aircraft.
During his time in the Air Force, he helped
transport UN forces during the Congo Crisis
and aided in investigating the
discovery of the "Lady Be Good" World War II B-24 bomber,
which was found intact in the
Sahara Desert
